Given the fact that sequins date all the way back to the days of King Tut in ancient Egypt, it’s not surprising that we have been trained to associate them with all things over-the-top. And if you think sequins aren’t for you, please think again 🙏Read More
If only there were a way to take that cozied-up-at-home feeling out into the world...
HOLD up guys. There is.
The answer to our lazy-day prayers comes in the form of the sweater dress. And by NO means is this revolutionary, but the knit dress is so incredibly underrated. A sweater dress is practically a blanket you can wear out of the house while still gaining so many style points... ummm count me in (hand raised). So to the person who invented sweater dresses — I salute you. 🙌
The only issue with the sweater dress is that it can sometimes look too casual. But an easy way to class up a sweater dress and instantly transform it from a day sippin' on coffee to a night out for Old Fashioned's is by pairing it with some Over-The-Knee boots. I styled these bomb, unique, eye stopping Alexander Wang boots with my Kate Spade sweater dress to create the perfect balanced/comfortable yet super fashion-forward look.

No matter how gorgeous a garment looks draped in your closet, if it doesn't let you do NORMAL human-like activities like breathe comfortably, walk down stairs, it's not much more than a really pretty swath of fabric. The most effective fashion is as fetching as it is functional, and the best of that bunch makes you look superhuman while you're just living your life. Which is exactly the reason why I love skater dresses. See #MaiTips below on how I like to style the skater dress effectively.Read More

Nothing is more simple, and more functional than a plain, white dress. And while it's something that exists in most people's closets, it's a piece that doesn't come without its own annoyances: It never stays that white for long; it gets dirty easily; and any rip, tear, or fray just makes it look more "meeeeeeehh." (Thumbs down).Read More
The business-casual dress code is one of the most difficult to define, and that might have something to do with the fact that it's a complete oxymoron — seriously, how can one be "business" and "casual," at the same time?Read More
Spring time is as good of an excuse as any to show a little skin. As much as we love a décolletage-baring bandeau, strapless dresses certainly aren’t for the an average day. When I hear "wrap dress," the first thing that comes to mind is DVF and those slinky, boob-emphasizing print wrap dresses from the 1970s. And I have a confession to make... I am obsessed with wrap anything. Wrap dresses, wrap tops, and now wrap jumpsuits... I am one happy Jeannie right now. See #MaiTips below on how I like to style a wrap fitted jumpsuit for these warmer months.
- Pick a flattering fit for your body type. If you have a fuller bust like me a wrap jumpsuit can be super flattering and slimming but still there to give support to your ladies (if u know what I mean). Click here for another wrap jumpsuit option.
- Jumpsuits can be intimidating when it comes to length if you happen to be in the under 5'5" club (raises hand). Since my jumpsuit offers leg slits this is a great way to avoid your jumpsuit being too long! Click here to shop for a similar option.
