There is plenty of music-festival gear that might force some of us to think twice about wearing it out in the so-called "real world". Vests, Flower crowns, and anything fringe all come to mind, but until lately, kimono-style outerwear might have fallen into that category, too. With the bright + in-your-face colors, and sleeker and edgy cuts, this is one of my fave bohemian staples to wear out to stylish restaurants like Katana on Sunset. I LOVE their outdoor romantic setting. After all, what could be better than looking just as delish as dinner? 💃🙌
Mai girl @chelsea_vonmach styled this eye-drawing Zara kimono on me so that it could be sleek enough for happy hour with bae but also playful enough to then be worn straight to going out dancing with my gals. Since the kimono is definitely the statement piece of this outfit (hence the bold floral print), Chelsea kept the rest of my look streamlined and modern to avoid looking a smidge costumey.
If you go back to look at photographs of all the greatest style icons like Audrey Hepburn, Marisa Berenson, Diana Vreeland – they could not live without their kimonos. And after today, you can add me to that list too 😉
