When I put on this mauve, dusted dress with bold hues of embroidery (available on #ShopMaiLook, as well as on the link below) I was immediately inspired by the cherry blossom energy behind it. The leaves, the blossoms, and the colors all made me picture a luscious, ripe cherry lip, innocent soft eyes, and doll like lashes. Choosing a wine colored lip shade can make you come off as strong and confident, yet still approachable. This color portrays a unique combination of power and warmth, and allows the woman to feel more independent and self-sufficient. If I haven’t told you, Uzmee and I have the ability to read each other's minds, so the next thing I know Uzmee is bringing the cherry pickin' dreams to life on Mai face.

Eyes - Urban Decay Naked 3 Pallet
I used this for my brow highlight, liner, brows, and eyes... yes it is very versatile! I love the golden skin colors of this pallet because it makes it so easy to use on different parts of the face. I applied it with a cream based eye liner brush.
Foundation - Cover Girl
Used in high school... and still use today! Yes, it's that good ya'll. Use a Beauty Blender to apply the foundation AND the powder. The goal is to create a very matte face so that the lips can be the focus.
Powder - Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder
See above. No brushes for face makeup. You want a packed, blended foundation finish.
Bronzer - Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Bronzer
I love this bronzer because it gives a natural glow without looking too heavy. Since we’re going for a more innocent doll-like face, less is more when it comes to contour (think "Baby Spice cheeks"). So go easy, queens.
Blush - Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Peach
Fun fact: this blush contains actual hand sewed beads of pearls placed into this radiant blush, which gives you the most perfect, baby faced glow. Using a round brush, apply in circular strokes a hair below the apples of your cheeks. Wha? Ok. What I mean is smile into the mirror. See those gorgeous little buds of cheekbones rise up? Use your round brush and dust the lower portion of those little buds. You want to look like a girl who’s blushing from a crush, not a woman who’s had 3 too many old fashioneds. (*Raises hand*)
Body Glow - Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder
Take your finger and dab a tiny bit onto your cupid's bow, that perfect sweet spot of an indentation above your lips. This will create the illusion of a poutier pucker. Little fun fact, want to know my secret to creating that amazing glow on my chest? Yep... it's highlighter.
Brush : Tarte the Buffer Airbrush Finish Buffer
Love using this brush to put on my foundation because it gives the most flawless and airbrushed finish.
Liner - Lipstick Queen
Lip liner is crucial to a long lasting lip look... so do not skip out on this step! Use a lip liner matching the lipstick you will be wearing. It doesn’t have to be an exact match but the closer the better. Gently line the outline of your lips, or slightly over if you want the fuller look. Then return to your natural lip line at the corners of your mouth.
Lips - Shea Moisture Shea Butter Luscious Lipstick
Umm... it's under $10.00 and it's perfection. It is moisturizing and long lasting, a definite must have. I like to apply a touch of gloss in the center to create the illusion of fuller lips.
Gloss - Lancôme 'Juicy Tubes'
Apply your chosen lip gloss, I usually try to get the gloss as close to the lipstick color as possible but you can always play around with pink on red or pink on nude or whatever floats your boat. It’s that simple! Get ready to wow everyone with your new voluptuous pout.
Mascara : Bare Minerals Lash Domination
The product description says it all... but for this look I used only one coat of mascara on the under side of the lashes to achieve the nice, separated look.
$4.99 guys... these eye lashes seriously give my eyes life!! And you cannot go wrong with that price, am I right?!
